Don Bradman Cricket Memorabilia Collection Overview A collection of Don Bradman-themed cricket memorabilia comprising multiple items. The lot centres on a Bradford Exchange collector plate by Robert Coady titled "Don Bradman" from the "Australia's Cricketing Greats" series, plate number 7594, accompanied by its Certificate of Authenticity. The collection also includes a pewter tankard, a signed cricket bat, a cricket ball bearing a gold signature, a commemorative medallion, a Capitol Movie Club Don Bradman badge, a newspaper reproduction, a "Don Bradman's How To Play Cricket" booklet, and a hardcover copy of "Bradman: The Illustrated Biography" by Michael Page. Collector Plate The plate depicts Don Bradman batting at the crease with a cricket ground scoreboard in the background. It is signed "R. Coady" upper right and "Don Bradman" lower centre, with a gilt rim. Crafted on Australian fine china. The accompanying Certificate of Authenticity records plate number 7594, the premier issue in the "Australia's Cricketing Greats" series, signed by Richard Warland for The Bradford Exchange and by artist Robert Coady. The plate appears intact with no visible chips or cracks. Pewter Tankard The tankard features a relief figure of a batsman on the front, engraved "SIR DONALD BRADMAN A.C." above and "The first Australian Legend" below. The reverse bears an engraved signature. The base is marked "FINE LEAD-FREE" with maker's marks. The tankard is in good condition with minor surface marks. Cricket Bat A "Century" brand cricket bat with a green and yellow decal on the back. The face bears signatures - the uppermost appears to read "S. Waugh", with a partially faded signature below, and two further signatures in the lower portion. The bat shows heavy wear and soiling to the blade, and the green rubber grip is cracked and deteriorating with material loss at the top of the handle. Some signatures show fading. Cricket Ball A red leather cricket ball bearing a gold signature on the surface. The ball shows surface wear to the leather. Additional Items * Sir Don Bradman commemorative medallion in a plastic bag * Capitol Movie Club Don Bradman badge in a plastic sleeve * "Eastern Daily Press" newspaper reproduction headlined "BRADMAN VERSUS ENGLAND" dated Saturday July 12 * "Don Bradman's How To Play Cricket" booklet - heavily worn with torn and detached cover, creasing and edge losses * "Bradman: The Illustrated Biography" by Michael Page, hardcover with dust jacket 997592+74
