Overview

Two large solid timber open bookcases sold as a pair 200cm x 88cm x . Both units feature a dark stained timber finish with open shelving. The left bookcase has a traditional design with four open shelves and two drawers at the base fitted with circular ring-pull handles and an arched decorative header. The right bookcase has four open shelves in the upper section and a lower section divided by a single door featuring ornate carved and painted red and gold figural panels, with an open compartment to the right of the door.

Condition Notes

Both units show wear consistent with age and use. Surface scratches, scuffs and finish wear are visible across the front, sides and rear panels of both bookcases. The rear panels show streaking and finish loss, particularly on the left unit which has more pronounced wear and lighter patches visible on the back. The base and lower edges of both units show scuffing and minor finish loss. The carved door panels on the right bookcase show paint wear. Both units appear structurally sound with shelves intact.
