The two-dollar bill is an oddity in US currency. It's legal tender, still produced, and yet most Americans go years without seeing one in the wild. That makes uncirculated examples a genuine curiosity, and a sequential pair doubles the appeal for collectors and gift buyers alike.



These two Series 2017A notes were issued by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco (District 12, prefix L). The obverse carries Thomas Jefferson's portrait, and the reverse features John Trumbull's famous painting of the presentation of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Both notes are crisp and uncirculated with sharp printing and no visible folds, creases, or staining. Centering is marginally offset on the visible note but within normal tolerance. The visible serial number is L 01868755 B. Signatories are Jovita Carranza (Treasurer) and Steven T. Mnuchin (Secretary of the Treasury). Neither note carries a star suffix, confirming both are standard run issues.
