The Johnston/Fraser signature combination (R.A. Johnston, Governor; B.W. Fraser, Secretary to the Treasury) dates these to approximately 1985 to 1991, placing them firmly in the pre-polymer era. The obverse celebrates Francis Greenway, the convict-turned-architect who shaped Sydney's early colonial character. The reverse honours Henry Lawson, Australia's most celebrated bush poet, against a rural township scene.
