2 x Canadian Silver Dollars - 1965 Voyageur and 1967 Centennial

Ask any Canadian coin collector which reverse design they love most and Alex Colville's Canada Goose for the 1967 Centennial dollar comes up constantly. Commissioned to celebrate 100 years of Confederation, it hit. The coin is widely regarded as one of the finest animal coin designs of the 20th century. This lot pairs it with its predecessor, the 1965 Voyageur dollar, carrying Emanuel Hahn's iconic scene of a French-Canadian voyageur and an Indigenous paddler navigating under the Northern Lights. That design ran on Canadian silver dollars from 1935 to 1966. These two coins represent the best of the Canadian silver dollar era in a single lot.



Both were struck in 80% silver at 23.33 grams, giving each approximately 18.66 grams of fine silver. Combined, this lot holds approximately 1.20 troy oz of fine silver, providing a solid melt floor alongside the collector premium.



Both coins present in About Uncirculated condition with light bag marks and minor contact marks from handling. Surfaces appear uncleaned with natural light toning. No rim damage or evidence of cleaning is visible from photos.
