1925 Ford Model T Tourer Convertible - Grey
Overview
A 1925 Ford Model T Tourer in grey with a black fabric soft top. The radiator shell carries the Ford script and "Made in Canada" embossing. The spare tyre mounted at the rear is lettered "T-Model Ford" and "1924", and a club badge is fitted to the rear body panel. A brass dealer plate on the timber dashboard reads "Supplied by F. C. Blacklock, Albury".
The vehicle is fitted with wooden-spoke artillery wheels with Excelsior tyres, a Ford amperes gauge on the dashboard, a column-mounted ignition and throttle lever, and a hand-crank horn on the steering column. The front and rear bench seats are trimmed in brown pleated material. The door cards are trimmed in matching brown material with metal handles. A black carry bag containing what appears to be side curtains is visible on the rear seat. One key on a yellow tag is photographed.
Condition
The exterior paintwork is grey and presents with a gloss finish across most panels. Paint flaking and surface rust are visible around the bonnet hinge at the radiator shell and around a hinge on the rear body panel. The rear of the driver side headlight housing shows paint peeling with underlying corrosion visible. The passenger side door top rail shows scratches and general wear. The underside of the front mudguards shows scratches. The chrome on the radiator shell and headlight rims shows patina consistent with the vehicle's age.
The wooden-spoke wheels are finished in a natural timber tone with black rims. The Excelsior tyres are marked 30 x 3-1/2, 4 ply, and show tread remaining across all four corners. The soft top is black fabric with clear plastic rear and side windows, and appears intact. The interior bench seats show the brown pleated trim in serviceable condition with some edge wear visible where the trim meets the body panels. The timber dashboard shows age-related wear and patina. The rubber floor mat is in place. The engine bay shows the engine block with spark plugs, ignition wiring and a cylindrical coil box visible.
