Australia 2006 Baby Proof Coin Set - The Magic Pudding

Royal Australian Mint, Canberra

Norman Lindsay's Magic Pudding has been making Australians laugh since 1918. The story of Bunyip Bluegum and the stubborn pudding that refused to be eaten is as beloved as any character in Australian literature, and in 2006 the Royal Australian Mint turned that magic into a collector set. The centrepiece is a silver proof $1 coin featuring the Magic Pudding's coloured design, presented alongside a full run of uncirculated decimal coins in a purple velvet-lined hinged case adorned with Lindsay's artwork. A lovely thing to own or to gift.

The silver proof $1 shows the characteristic mirror-like proof finish. The case appears intact and in good condition from photos, and the coloured design element on the commemorative coin appears undamaged.
