The Fraser/Cole $20 is from the final chapter of Australian paper currency. The transition to polymer notes began in 1988, and by the early 1990s paper was done. The Fraser/Cole pairing (B.W. Fraser, Governor; A.S. Cole, Secretary to the Treasury) sits right at the end of that era, and these three consecutive examples represent original, unspent stock from that last run.



The obverse celebrates Sir Charles Kingsford Smith, the aviator who made history in 1928 completing the first trans-Pacific flight aboard the Southern Cross. The distinctive orange, yellow, and golden-brown palette is unfaded and vibrant across all three notes. Serial numbers run consecutively: RKF 281063, RKF 281064, and RKF 281065. All three are approximately About Uncirculated to Uncirculated with crisp paper, sharp corners, and no visible folds, staining, or pinholes. None carry a star or replacement prefix.
