The 1966 Round 50 Cent Was Australia'S First 50 Cent Coin And The Only Australian Circulation Coin Struck In 80% Silver. It Was Replaced By The Dodecagonal (12-Sided) Cupro-Nickel Design From 1969 Due To The Silver Content Exceeding The Face Value.
